Royal Copenhagen Fairytale Terracotta Dinner Plate No 625. Measures 25.7 cm (10 1/8"). Designed by Finn Næss Smith and Jørgen Nielsen.
Royal Copenhagen Fairytale Pattern was designed by Finn Næss-Schmidt and the actual drawings for the transferware were designed by Jørgen Nielsen (the painter of the Flora Danica Hippopotamus Service). The Fairytale service was decorated in both Grey and Terracotta versions so that all pieces would mix and match. At the time of production it was the most complex multicolor transferware ever produced by the Royal Copenhagen Factory.
The grey pattern is number 1201, terracotta is 1202 and the serving pieces that will match both colors is 1203.
